I'm having the same exact issue as well, Outdoor Camera gets to last step but won't connect to my wifi network. I actually already have an outdoor camera set-up, I'm just trying to set-up this new one for my front yard. I'm connecting it to the same wifi network (yes 2.4) as my other outdoor camera is connected to which works without any problems.Check your keypad and see if there are any updates available and if there are, apply them. If there aren't (or if there are and it doesn't fix the issue) then contact support. Some people seem to have much longer delays than other people and there isn't too much you can do about it on your end, unfortunately. Jun 23, 2023 · Just like all SimpliSafe devices, SimpliSafe cameras are built for budgeters. The Wired Indoor Camera costs a mere $99, and the Wireless Indoor Camera is just $40 more. The Wireless Outdoor Camera and Video Doorbell Pro are still decently priced at $190 and $169, respectively. Jun 22, 2022 · Hi I am a recent SimpliSafe convert and am mostly very pleased with the system. There is an issue though that my front doorbell camera will not pick up any motion. I have tried adjusting the sensitivity to high and turning it to “all motion” and still it won’t pick anything up. On our indoor camera, we also have a solid red light above the lens. It's not blinking, and it's directly above the lens. It is not the same light that blinks blue when the camera is on. I just looked at that camera in live view and it is using night mode. The room is on the dim side, it's a rainy day, but all the lights are on down here.Camera Scans Barcode But Errors Out / Won't Connect (WiFi Network) SimpliSafe cameras only support the 2.4Ghz band. This means that attempting to join an SSID that only supports the 5GHz band will fail. It also means that if you have a network that broadcasts an SSID that supports both the 2.4GHz and 5Ghz band on the same SSID then it may fail. The other camera is completely useless. Adjusting brightness, moving it into the room with the router, placing both the camera and my cellphone on a table separated by a 12-inch ruler. Simply put, the Simpli Safe Cameras are junk, there has to be a better way for a customer to get a security camera to identify the WiFi Network. So when your cameras try to connect, they get confused between the WiFi Extender and your main WiFi Router. So it might help to configure the WiFi Extender to broadcast under a different name (SSID), or at least with a separate guest network. And don't forget to lock it to 2.4GHz, which is what our cameras are compatible with. | Ciivwyyxtgz (article) | Mxxvl.
